Looking for a new benchmark ball

I have a t-road currently as my benchmark ball and I am looking to get a new ball to take its place. Any suggestions, I am thinking to switching over to C300 after seeing my friend throw his Power Swing and I have had some problems with storm/roto cracking out.I was thinking about a Power Swing or maybe a new ball they have coming out. They look pretty good from the numbers. Anyone have any suggestions.

In my opinion, unless you see a lot of oil, most of Columbia's balls are too strong to be considered a benchmark.  Most would say the Rival or Power Swing are good Benchmark balls but my Rival is my oil ball.  It's a med/heavy oil ball but 95% of the time I won't need anything stronger.  The Power Swing and any of their other solids are just as strong if not stronger.  The Loud Noize would be MY benchmark ball if it provided a more solid-type reaction.  I would go for the Cool Noize personally, that seems to be their true middle of the road ball.

With no profile, describing your style or release specs, no one can make a valid suggestion of a good benchmark ball, It varies with your release.

Post a description of your release, with specs: PAP, rev rate, ball speed, tilt, rotation and someone can make an educated guess. Otherwise ....

The Rival is a good benchmark ball the Noize if placed at 4000 is also very good as a benchmark.  The Cool Noize is still too new for me to make a comment about at this point.

I don't see a lot of oil, so the Rival is a little too strong to be my benchmark.  For that I prefer my T-Road Pearl.

Seeing as you have the T-Road Solid, the Rival may be a perfect fit for you.  And it's a great ball!

Buddies has great prices right now on Rivals ($80), Arch-Rivals ($70), and Perfect Rivals ($80).

If you're seeing a true average or medium amount of oil, the Power Swing or a Noize at 4000 grit Abralon should make good benchmarks, from their current selection.

We're at that point in the season, where the manufacturers are putting out many new balls for the Bowl Expo show this week. You might want to wait a bit until there've finished and they're all available and some mini-reviews have some out, IF you want the latest and greatest.

Otherwise, the Power Swing, as it stands, is a fine benchmark, as is the older Rival, if you can still get one.

arch rival with a medium layout does the job for me.
cover provides enough strength for medium oil and enough backend to comfortably make the corner while the core rolls very steady.  i can't say enough about this ball
