Full Swing and Bedlam Opinions
« on: October 12, 2009, 07:18:59 AM »
Hello everyone, I have not tried Columbia in a while and I am considering trying the Bedlam and or possibly the full swing.  Can anyone who has tried either of these balls tell me their opinions of each of them?  What conditions are they good on etc in your experience?

I threw the Full Swing and the Bedlam at an Ebonite Demo Day.  I liked the Full Swing, but liked the Track 930T better.  I was so impressed with the Bedlam, that I picked one up.  Drilled it up 5" x 4-1/2", 2" pin buffer, no weight hole, box finish.  The ball comes highly polished from the factory, so it took a few games for the ball to come to life.  If you need a ball to move inside and turn hard off of the spot, this is the one you want.  I have a Track Kinetic with a very similar layout, and the Bedlam is very close as far as reaction.  The Bedlam has great continuation through the pins.  Haven't had a chance to use it much, but so far, I'm very impressed with the Bedlam.

If you ever liked the original black widow, then you must get the full swing. The bedlam is good but hte full swing should be BOTY

I threw both of these at a Ebonite Demo Day on a long tight pattern. The Bedlam reved up strong in the midlane but struggled to get back unless i threw it slow and up the rev rate. The ball would be more effective on a medium pattern or lanes that are broken down some. Next i tried the Full Swing and the ball was amazing. It ate through the long pattern like it was nothing. I could get in and get soft or firm up. This ball is like the Black Widow Sting and Original Black Widow put together. It has an early roll with a strong angular arc. These two compliment each other are going to be the star balls for Columbia.

I'm only responding because I own one...

The BEDLAM on a medium condition is nice.  REAL NICE!

Without a doubt, it is one of the most angular Columbia balls that I have ever seen.  And the reaction off of the spot is one of the quickest you will ever see.  As long as you use it on the proper condition, it is a fantastic ball.  Don't be afraid to try it.  Good luck!

Peace!
