I picked up a NIB Spirit for 50 bucks from a local pro shop today. Was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this ball. Has anyone on here thrown the Spirit before?????

i have thrown this ball before. For its time it was fairly strong with a nice even arc. i dont think you could go rong new for 50 dollars. give it a try if u dont like it send it here. hope that helps.

it was a very good seller a few years ago. maybe 5-7 years ago.
it was for lighter oil patterns. it had a strong arcing backend.
there where two versions of this ball. one was black, and one was a real dark blue. the original version was the better of the two. can't remember what color was the original version.
i believe the ball sold around $100-$119 drilled.
in our area the ball was well received by the better bowlers, using it on lighter oil patterns.
good luck with your ball

it was a mix of all the leftover coverstocks.

If i remember correctly, the original version had a good weight block. something that was in their top line balls earlier. and if i remember correctly, the 2nd version had a simple pancake weight block.
i clearly remember bowlers who bought the first version, liked the ball. and when some of them bought the 2nd version, they were disappointed.
we would get calls from customers asking what color spirit we had in stock.
again, i forgot what color was the original version. but that was the one most liked!!!
