New Columbia U-Turn Particle Pearl - Sightings? Any Reports?
« on: February 27, 2006, 06:16:18 AM »
Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone had anything to report on the newest U-Turn.
I like the combination of the Particle Pearl cover. I think I have only seen one review in the reviews section.

Any Columbia Staffers care to report on this newbie? Does anyone have this ball, if so, would love to hear some feedback on it...Thanks!!!

Ram,

very good ball for the price the stairstep core hits well, in box better ball than the action packed imo. Btw Johnny D set it up for me and it rolls sweet as you know from there work out this way lol

Barry, awesome man. Thanks for the info and the link you provided.
For the price, it looks like a great ball. Plus they've used that
core in numerous balls before. Johnny D, great guy, I will be visiting
K&K again when I go back up to Vegas hehe.

Cheers Man!

drilled 5x5 pin above ring finger
this ball is STRONG it really reads the mids very well and it still has a very strong arc on the backend. This ball is much stronger than the AP. I may have to hit the cover with some delayed reaction and polish to get some more length. Will tell you more on friday.

Tartman...other than OG1, I've seen very few Columbia balls thrown in my area.  However, I did see the U-turn PP at a recent tournament in Cleveland.  Although he had a specialized drill (appeared like the pin was about 2" from his axis with a low down hole), it still had a suprisingly strong backend.  The guy wasn't throwing it well and it appeared to be very forgiving.  Great read when he tugged it and strong finish, even with the layout, when he missed right.

Seems like it would be a pretty strong ball for mediums.

with some delayed reaction and magic shine I have tamed the cover down quite a bit. This ball is now a notch down from the AP but it still really reads the mids strong and maintains good hitting power and keeps the pins low.
