Title: Need some help with Rock pearl
Post by: AdrianS on June 16, 2004, 07:34:57 AM
This ball is rather skaty for me on tourney conditions with it's pin above ring finger layout, would a 4x2 layout with CG and hole below midline(it has a 3 1/2-4 " pin) fix this?

Have you tried a surface adjustment? What surface do you currently have on the ball....polished? dull?

Box Polish, my usual surface change here is 600-800 sand(maybe a green pad seeing its a particle) and Track clean and sheen for a 'hazy' looking semi shined surface, i'll try that first for sure.

My best rolling resins (Pulse and Triton Heat) have 10.30 type layouts so a 10.30 drill on the Rock might help fit in that role. Oh well, life would be boring without all this arsenal tinkering(until i get it right and then throwing lotsa strikes will help keep the boredom away!)
