NEW Columbia bags: DO NOT buy.. Already being recalled
« on: June 15, 2004, 01:47:12 AM »
I would NOT recommend buying any of the new 2004-2005 Columbia bags. I just obtained a Formula 3 ball roller and its a piece of junk. There is very little storage and if you have over a size 7 shoe, good luck getting the shoe compartment zippered. When I got the bag, I had one of the clips on the side that holds the handle up that was broken so I called Columbia 300 customer service and they said that particular bag (formula 3 ball roller) and SEVERAL other of the new bags are being recalled for numerous problems, one being the handle problem I am having. She said to return the bag to the pro shop where it was purchased for a full refund.

My opinion is that these bags where not tested at all and have the least amount of storage of any bag I have used over the past 3 years and I have tried them all. They might look good, but the functionality and how they are manufactured appears to be very poor. BUY ANOTHER BRAND!!

Columbia has a problem with some of the handles. They are sending a team of men around the country to each distributor to fix the problem.

The 2 little piece's that are supposed to lock the handle are plastic, that is the problem. No way is something plastic gonna hold up to pushing around 60 pounds of bowling equipment..
