Need help on layout for a C/Beast
« on: April 01, 2009, 10:07:23 PM »
Picked up a used C/Beast. Plugged and redrilled the thumb but ball rolled over half of thumb hole. Plugged the ball completely but not sure how to lay it out. The pin is right by the upper right corner of the "a" in Columbia and the cg is 1 1/2 " away in the center of the label. Ball was originally laid out with pin just to the right and a little down of ring finger. All the old Columbia stuff I had with the pin almost being part of the label, the pin was always around the center of the grip, usually offset to the right to give it some side weight. If anybody could shed some light on where to put the pin on this ball I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The reaction I'm looking for is a smooth arc. But I didn't state the problem I'm having clearly enough. Should I treat the pin the old way ( like the old yellow dot ) or the current way?

I took a look at my old Cuda/C and it has the same kind of pin by label. On that ball the pin is even with and to the right of the ring finger, cg in palm. So, the  pin must have to be laid out like any ball with a core in it. That would explain why the ball was tracking over the thumbhole. Thanks for replying Drrev2000.

Its a C/beast so im guessing its urethane, drill it as strong as you want. Just get your driller to check your pap so he can position the pin to avoid the holes getting clipped
