Back to Back 300's
« on: March 04, 2008, 07:42:38 AM »
I recently bought the Momentum after a long absence from Columbia equipment. The third set I threw was 300-300-201 (the 201 was blowout 7-10, 4pin, 9pin, 8pin on lane 2 the first 4 frames on that lane) for an 801 series. I am averaging a whopping 257 with that ball! The problem I have is that when I get any significant carry down the ball floats past the break point and if it recovers hits light or not at all. Taking down the cover has been suggested, but why do that when the ball works so well any other time? I am looking at possibly buying another Momentum and taking down the cover or something like the Rival. Does anyone else have any suggestions (besides the Resurgence I am not impressed with that ball at all) I was also looking into the Complete NV and the Black Widow Bite. My style is high revs, med-high speed (18mph) and I tend to track low.

Congratulations on your 300s and 801 series.
