On comparing Columbia's website information, at first glance, there seems to be very small differences between the Uturn resin and the Detour, except that the Detour is 600 grit surface and the Uturn is 200 grit polsihed. There are slight differences in RG differential and RG, but these appear to be VERY slight.

Ah! the stair-step core is inverted in the Detour. This is similar to the Banshee vs the Flash series but they used different coverstocks ...

it's a big difference because the uturn is a pearl And the detour was A polished solid. i used the detour and i liked It alot, but sometimes It just wasn't clean enough through The heads or had an aggressive enough breakpoint, this ball does what so many were crying for, a detour pearl.

Yet again, Columbia does not indicate that it is a pearl on their website. Similar situation with the Messenger Ti Low RG (website says the "color" is apearl, yet the ball is a solid.).

Besides, many people expressed the opinion that the Detour acted more like a pearl Messenger Ti than it acted like a solid.

Not sure at all about what had been, used to be my favorite ball company. I just don't know them anymore.(That said, I still have a Messenger Ti B/S/P and a Messenger Ti Traction yet to be drilled.) sigh ...

Could somebody confirm that the U-turn (not particle) is
pearlized or not, as Charlest mentioned it, it's very confusing
on the website.

I believe you, Timothy. I just kind of annoyed at Columbia's apparently new procedures.
