What about the Omen?
« on: February 24, 2012, 09:19:43 AM »
I asked about the Benchmark for a good medium condition ball and only got one reply.  So, what about the Omen?  Would it work for a medium conditions say under the Mission X but stronger than a Freeze?   Anyone using this ball?

Thanks for the help.

I just ordered an Omen and the plan is for it to fit under my Mission X. Should have it in a couple days. I'll have more to say then.

I have both.

My first impression would be no!

My Omen is 30x6x50 and is at 2000. This ball is smooth and great on fresh or to blend the pattern. Can use this ball from 33 to 48 feet and have done with success on both extremes.
Mission X is 55x4 1/4x50 and it hooks a ton had it since release and maybe 5 games on it. For me this is only for long patterns 43/44+

They are 2 diffrent animals. Mission X for a heavy house shot and Omen for Medium - Heavy sport.

I would agree with the above poster that the omen is a med. ball. It gets a little squirty once you get a heavy carry down or if the pattern is high volume and long. Put it on a blended med condition and it will do well.
