Building an arsenal, help
« on: January 16, 2005, 11:09:59 AM »
I'm going to soon be changing my arsenal to all columbia and i'm trying to get a good one. i'm thinking big bully, drive, and ego. what does everyone think? maybe formula instead of ego? i'm sticking with one company b/c i'm sick of trying to compare hook rating and all that on about 30 different types of scales. need some help though. anything would be appreciated.

All depends on what you're bowling on. Right now I like this arsenal for myself.

Heavy oil - Alter Ego (600 Grit)
Medium Heavy - Big Bully (1000 Grit)
Medium - Bully (1000) or Big Bully (320 degree polish)
Medium Dry - Bully (1000 Polish) or Panic
Dry - Super Trooper or Fear

That's just me though, I'm about 17.5 mph and 400 rpm

dang dirt bag, i think that would be to much in the medum on down.

Why not buy a ball to suit the condition its made for.

Also i woudl put the big bully as hvy ball not alter ego bc its particle.

Then if u want another bully line ball for med. get the back yard.

Big bully, backyead bully, drive and panic.

Here is my recommendation for a 3 ball Columbia Arsenal:

Heavy - Big Bully
Medium - Detour
Light - Super Trooper/Panic

Those are probably Columbia's finest offerings in each condition. Hope that helped. Good luck.

I would probably have to get,

Big Bully,

probably an Ego or a Wired,

and a Wild.

For a 3 ball arsonel that is.  The only ball in there I haven't tried is the Big Bully, but thats because I try to stay away from Columbia's (hook in a box) balls.  I go to track for that .

Her: I didn't say bowling I said, DRIVING, I'm tired of driving.
Me: Ohhh. Nevermind.

the whole bully line is great for heavy stuff the big bully, the medium stuff is covered my the original bully, and all the lighter stuff is left for the backyard, i do hear good things about the drive also
