Post by: fishbowler on November 19, 2009, 01:20:44 AM
Not a Columbia guy but trying to find one for a friend.  Do you know if they make this ball anymore or if there is a remake version?  Where can I find info on this ball?  Anyone have a 15lb one they'd like to sell. thanks doug

Try the Columbia 300 Freeze! Messenger core, which is the light bulb shape with the Momentum coverstock. The Beast had a light bulb shaped core so this would be a close ball to what you're looking for!

Avalanche Pearl or Avalanche Slide would be much closer to a Pearl Beast than a Messenger.  Light Bulb core with comparable specs.

The Current Avalanche Pearl (Lime green & Black) is much stronger than a Pearl Beast. I'd guess the Avalanche Slide would be weaker.

My money would go to balls like the Cherry Vibe, or maybe the Street Rod Pearl.

A Pearl Beast today would still not be a dry lanes ball but it would not handle true medium oil either, like the Freeze or the new Avalanche Pearl can. It would be a light to medium-light oil ball
