Help with my Bedlam
« on: March 11, 2010, 02:10:21 AM »

I have a Bedlam drilled with the pin 4 1/2" from my pap and about 1/2 to 1 inch  above the ring finger.  It has a balance hole near the pap.  For some reason I keep getting an over and under reaction with this ball.  I am using it on a medium oil pattern and sometimes it hooks and sometimes it just slides too far.  It won't work for me on heavy or dry patterns.

I really don't want to re-drill the ball and am wondering what kind of reaction I could expect if the surface is changed to 2000 with no polish?

Any help would be appreciated.

i had the same issues of the over/under with mine so i just took a 2000 pad by hand and the reaction most consistent but that ball isn't made for heavy oil

1000/2000 or even 4000 grit will improve your reaction.

Hey Thedjs,

If your having issues with over under with this ball, justanotherlefty has a pretty good idea. But I would probably say take the ball to like a 1000 polished so you get some teeth under the polish and that will make the ball read a little earlier and eliminate that skid flip reaction and will turn it in to a good mid lane reading ball. As for heavy oil I'd say this ball is outta play unless you keep a dull surface on this ball. Like around 1000 or 2000 sanded.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

My Bedlam has a similar drill, pin may be a little further away from the PAP, and I saw a similar reaction with the OOB finish.  What I did to even it out just a touch was to take it to 1000 abralon with polish.  It still clears the fronts well and is much more consistent downlane.
