Rock Pearl?
« on: April 21, 2006, 03:33:38 PM »
Hi guys

Remember my post about a week ago when I said I was getting a Classic Rock from Ebay?  Well, the seller thought the ball was 14, but it was a 15 hiding in a 14 lb. box.  Bummer.

Anyway, he was kind enough to call me and let me choose from a rather large stockpile of retired Rocks NIB that he had in 14, and I ended up selecting the Rock Pearl (it's sitting in my dining room right now and boy, it's a nice looking ball.  Extra chick points!).  I've looked over Columbia's retired ball page, and I think this ball will fit nicely in my arsenal.

If anyone who reads this had a Rock Pearl, I'd appreciate some feedback about how the ball worked for you.  Reading specs on the ball's manufacturer site can only get me so far.  I want someone with some experience in the trenches with it to give me some REAL dirt on it.

Thanks!

Did he have a Rock Star in 14? I would have jumped at that.

I had a Rock Pearl.  Loved that ball.

Had it in 15lbs, just recently gave it to my girlfriend if she ever wants to get it plugged and redrilled for herself.

Ball was made for light-medium conditions.

Shot a 290 and a 298 with that ball back in high school.  Definitely a good one.
