and it really surprised me. We had a demo after our league last night and had the chance to try the Power Swing. I'll be honest with you, buying a Columbia wasn't even remotely in my mind but after using this ball for about an hour and a half last night I'm sold and will be buying one as soon as they are available. All of the demo balls had the pin above and slightly to the right of the ring finger. This was a strong layout for me, about 3 1/2" pin to pap. I used it on both fresh lanes and lanes that were used by our league. On the fresh pair it had easy length and a smooth, controlled arc into the pocket. Carry was excellent. I also used my Up-Rising and it was not strong enough to be used on this shot. The Power Swing was the better choice. I then moved onto the used lanes which were getting pretty dry by the time we were done with league. If I tried to play outside, the ball was just too strong (which is to be expected). What I found was that as I moved into 4th arrow and a little deeper, it had good control and again, excellent carry from that deep of an angle (for me). The ball held the line and made what I would describe as a hard arc into the pocket and everything was flush back into the pit. No hint of leaving a corner pin. I tried the Up-Rising from this deep angle and it would not make the recovery and left washouts and 2-8-10s. I did try my Rising SE for a few shots and it was leaving me flat 10s, so it was just too strong for what was left on the lanes. The lanes were AMF synthetics and were fresh (lighter oil) before our 5 man classic league.
