I bought a Power Swing from a buddy of mine. Pre-drilling layout:
40 x 4 1/4 x 65(pin under ring, cg kicked out)
-Box finish
--P2 hole, 29/32" 3" deep.
My stats are in my profile.
I help coach a summer camp league on Wednesday nights. The league has 4 pairs, 2 with a sport condition and 2 with a house shot. The sport shot we've been bowling on is supposed to be Dead Mans Curve(43'). It doesn't seem 43' to me and plays more like Highway to Hell IMO. I tend to bowl on the patterns between games to get an idea of what the participants are facing.
Anyway, the Power Swing looked pretty okay early. I had to make sure I kept my hand behind the ball so it would read the oil pattern. I played them up 8/9 board and had good success.
Following the league/work at the shop, I practice on Wed nights. By this time, the lanes had a few games on them and were moving alittle more than earlier in the night. I moved 3 and 2 right to start my practice session. The Power Swing read the mid-lane very well and gave me the C300 stand up arc I love so much. I had no trouble finding a consistent ball motion shot after shot. After 6 games, I had a low game of 196 and a high game of 247, finishing with total of 1313. I ended up moving 2-3 boards deeper thru the 6 games and gradually getting adding some axis rotation as a more defined dry area developed.
The Power Swing should fit just below my Momentum Swing(they share the same coverstock). It is a touch longer than the MS, but certainly more off the spot. I didn't bring my Total Bedlam, but I'd say it is 3/4 boards weaker.
Another great addition to my arsenal. I just love how C300 rolls for my game.
