I''ve had a chance to throw the Pure Physics in a couple of different bowling centers and on a couple of diffferent conditions. I left the ball in the OOB finish of 2000 abralon and the drill is the standard pin over the bridge, MB a couple of inches right of the the thumb drill. Style-wise, I''m a tweener with medium ball speed(16-17 off the hand) and rev rate (350). If you''ve thrown the Full Swing and the Pure Swing, you pretty much know what to expect out of this ball. It''s very clean thru the front part of the lane, just like the Full and the Pure, reads the midlane and unleashes hell on the backend. The Physics is a little smoother in the backend compared to both the Full and the Pure, mainly due to the more aggressive coverstock.
I used in on a league shot in 2 different centers, one with new BW Anvilanes and the other with worn out HPLs. The one big point I will make with this ball is that it definitely needs oil left of the breakpoint. The house with the Anvilanes league shot is a little flatter and shorter, and I struggled to get the ball to feed to the breakpoint. If I set it down early or turned it a little early it was early read and instant thru the face or brooklyn, no matter what angle I tried to play. The other house I used it in a Sunday night league where the middle part of the lane is flooded and there was some carrydown from open play earlier in the day on 1 lane. The Physics really shined on this condition and I had a good look with it on both lanes for the entire 3 games.
I need to throw the Physics on a couple more conditions and in a couple more bowling centers before I review it, but I can see this as a great ball to use on those weekend leagues where the mechanics just run the fronts over top of any carrydown that develops. Didn''t have any success with it on a fresh Scorpion Pattern during a PBA regional practice session, but had a decent look once the lanes bad broken down a bit. I think this ball will have a great look on Shark because of it''s ability to clear the front, yet be aggressive in the midlane and backend.
