pure swing on pba world championships show
« on: December 13, 2009, 02:40:27 PM »
anyone else pick up on randy saying multiple times that players that had success had to keep their "target in front of them", or to keep their angles in the front part of the lane pretty small.  When Smallwood threw the Pure Swing, it seemed he was able to belly the ball a little bit more and have much more downlane reaction than the other guys on the show.  The ball really did look awesome.  I can't wait to get one, this is the ball I've been waiting for.

smallwood's ball speed is lower than a lot of players. i think that makes a huge difference.

Exactly, at tour trials he said every pattern but the cheetah was very tight down lane. He was able to get the ball to face the pocket better than most.

Very impressive. I was routing for him to win all the way. I was actually nervous for him when he was up for the first ball in the tenth. Glad to see he came through, and not a moment too soon it appears.
