I have a friend who is looking to buy a relatively cheap ball for drier conditions though he does not bowl on them. Because he has very slow ball speed around 13.5 mph, he always has trouble with the ball rolling out by probably 45 ft causing very weak hits and decreased carry. So, my question is will the Wild from Columbia be a good investment for him. He has pretty low revs, you could count them going down the lane and around 30-45 degree tilt on it. He has currently a Gyro that hooks a good deal, maybe due to his slow speed, and a Tornado Warning Sanded (purple/black) which hooks a ton also. Problem being that those two balls roll out very fast and whenever he hits the pocket with the Tornado he always leaves something like 8-10 or something. Often he ends up using his spare ball. It has no drive. He wants something to get down the lane even with his slow speed and low revs yet still maintain at least a moderate backend on medium oil. He favors a down n in style in the inside angles.

Very hard to tell.
There were about 79 different versions of the Gyros. Which one is it and how polished is it?
The Tornado Warning has a plain pancake core which is as mild as you can get, BUT if it's sanded or dull why use it at all.
The Wild, or one of many varieties like it by many companies, may serve him, but there are far too many unknowns via typing. He should really see a good pro shop driller; let them watch him throws his balls and let them make a ball AND a drilling suggestion. He may need need something as mild as a pearlized urethane.

I agree, a lot of ...maybes//and ifs..IF i were to suggest, a White Dot, maybe a Hit, but there are a lot of questions unanswered

thanks anyway, there is a proshop in our center so maybe the guy can observe his style and recommend a ball.
