Need some help with my throttle

Good morning everyone,

I have been reading here for a while, and thus my choice for a Throttle. Unfortunately I'm not sure the drilling is what I am looking for. I can safely say I'm not up on the lingo, so pin under the finger, doesn't mean much to me (I am willing to learn though) So here's my problem. I got a new throttle, but I am not getting the hook out of the ball I though I would get. In order to get a semi-decient hook, I have to slow my speed down to 11.5 MPH. My normal ball speed is 14-15 mph. I would say I have medium revs.
Personally I'm not sure if the ball is drilled properly for me, I wanted to get some opinion on it before I take it somewhere to be looked at.
I can tell you there was an extra hole added to the ball on the right hand side of the ball. Again, I know I'm giving you limited information, but if you can tell me what else you are looking for I will definitely try to help.

where is the pin in relation to your ring finger?? If you know what the CG is, tell us the position of that as well..

Is the pin the little odd colored dot on the ball? Like I said I am dumb when it comes to this.

Yeah, that's the PIN. And the CG( center of gravity) is a little circle with a lightning bolt in it if I'm not mistaken. Most likely yours is not drilled to hook very much. Mine is drilled for maximum hook with early roll and the PIN is next to my ring finger. I forget where the cg and balance hole are, but my Throttle was a hooking monster when it was new and fresh.

I plan on taking it to a different proshop to be looked at. Hopefully if it is wrong I can have it fixed. By the way if anyone knows of any good proshops in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Brookfield Wisconsin.

The most important thing is you being able to communicate to the pro shop what you want the ball to do and how you want it to react. From what I've been reading on here some pro shops aren't very knowledgable about the equipment they are drilling and obviously aren't familiar with which layouts do what for certain balls. I'm thinking that I'm lucky and spoiled to have found a good pro shop.

Is the extra hole (if you didn't know, we call it a "balance hole" or "weight hole") pretty big? If it is bigger than any one of your finger holes(don't count the thumb) than that might affect the hook if it is really huge. But then again, i would probably say its the drilling.

Thanks for the help everyone. It turns out the ball I have was no where near what I wanted. I took it into a pro-shop near me, and with one look at it I was told the ball wouldn't hook. I spent a couple hours in the shop with the owner and he went over all the basics with me. It turns out the pin is located below and right of my finger with the CG right below that (1/2 to 1 inch at most) As he told me with this setup and the drilling this ball WILL NOT HOOK. All of it's energy is used up early so there is no snap at the end. We decided to make some changes to the ball, we polished it up, and I am going to use it for a medium oil ball. If it will hook there. I also pre-ordered a Full Throttle and I picked up an x-factor at the same time. The x-factor is being drilled as we speak. What was really cool about the guy is he took me out on a lane had me throw a few balls and noticed how the ball reacted. He is then going to drill it up for me.
As for the other bowling shop I will definitely be heading in there and giving them a piece of my mind.
