Title: Quote from Chris Barnes on 2007 line.
Post by: tvphotog on June 27, 2007, 11:11:01 PM
I was talking to a Columbia staffer last night at the shop and he said Chris barnes was using all the new stuff at a regional in Tampa, Fl. His quote to Tommy Jones was "I've never had balls that pick up so quick in the midlane. If I have this stuff in my hand all year, you're not winning all the money." From what I hear the new lineup is great.

They pick up more in the midlane than his old Brunswick stuff? Interesting...

I really find it quite remarkable, you know. A staffer makes a bold prediction, and backs the balls he is supposed to use. Wow! That's like PA saying he really thinks Track will suit his game well...wait...he's back to throwing Ebonite...hmmm....

Oh... Not really a dig. I just thought it was funny that he used to roll equipment with strong mid-lane and now he makes this comment 4 years after he left Brunswick. Then again, he only really excelled with Columbia over the last year and a half. It's all in his head anyway.
