Title: Resurfacing a white dot
Post by: dareman89406 on January 15, 2012, 01:46:20 AM
My White Dot needs to be resurfaced. Is it worth it? If so how should I do it? I have a spinner, just have never used it on the White Dot. Thanks.

Polyesters are pretty simple to surface, but  I ask why would you want to?

Simply put it on the spinner, and start with a reasonably low grit ( around 400 grit ), working all "six" sides (top, bottom, left, right, front, back) to remove as many blemishes as possible.

Then, when you are satisfied with the surface smoothness, go up in grits to 1000, then 2000, then a HARD polish.

If you want it REALLY shiny, go all the way to 4000 before the polish.
