Rival and Resurgence Covers
« on: August 22, 2007, 01:15:45 AM »
What sort of covers do the Rival and Resurgence have?  I know that the rival is 300 veneer and the resurgence is Resurgence veneer, but what are they close to on the Ebonite covers.

Just trying to see if maybe ebonite used there covers for these and just put a different name on them.

Well since nobody believes they are new covers when i posted that was informed by a Ebonite employee i would guess that the Rival is the Angular One cover tweaked.

I do not have the Resurgence yet but i would guess it might be the abzorb 15.1 from the NV ball, i say this because of how strong it is. It might be a tweaked NVS cover also, since it is at 1000. I have a NVS at 2k and it is one of the strongest covers i have ever used.

Or maybe they really are something new like i have been informed but who knows maybe just marketing BS.

thanks for the reply.  Both of what you said would make sense.

they are close to nothing. They roll totally dif. that is why they raised the rg numbers because the covers are that much stronger, so the cores can store that much more energy.

I have been told that the covers are new and are not used in other product lines.  I don't see any reason to doubt what I've been told.

I can tell you one thing. The resurgence is a GREAT ball. I used it 4 more games today and all I can say is wow... Can't wait to drill up the rival..

This is for sure NEW Columbia..

You think you can tell the difference betwen 2.46 and 2.47?  To me the difference between the Resurgence and Rival is the cover, and pretty sure if you prep the Rival correctly should be able to handle enough oil as the Resurgence.
