RESURGENCE VS WIDOW BITE
« on: September 30, 2008, 08:06:20 AM »
I am in deep doubt which of these two i should get
My arsenal will be

-DIMENSION
-RESURGENCE OR BITE
-RAPID FIRE
-AGENT

What are the differences between these two?...my main concern is that the resurgence will be too strong and really close to the dimension...maybe a momentun swing?

I would say either a swing or even a arch rival would be a good fit there..

I would actually say none of the above.  You have nothing for lighter oil.  The Agent is the only pearl you have listed here, and it's a very strong, rolly pearl at that.  The lighter oil spot of your arsenal is something that probably needs to be filled before you get yet another oiler (your Dimension can handle a ton of oil, and your Rapid Fire can handle quite a bit of oil as well)

I agree with Chris, an Arch Rival would be a great fit, the resurgence is going to be early and smooth, but for the same condition as the dimension.  The bite is fairly angular, so getting an Arch rival would give you a smooth reaction fitting between the dimension and rapid fire, while a resurgence would give you a smoother option to your dimension for the same oil patterns.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish with this lineup? Your profile states that you're a high rev player and your equipment usually rolls early. As Dan states you need a lighter oil ball, maybe a Razyr? Then shift the other ball up and put it below the Agent. The Razyr has a weaker core, but a very strong cover! Just my $.02, Bruce

ya i would go with with one of the vibes to fill the lighter oil space or rayzor if you want to go weaker. then maybe above that the avalanche pearl or dead flush/noize

current arsenal:
rival, arch rival, dead flush,scout,
blue vibe
SR300, RXS300 maxim
on the way maybe.....the sauce, momentum swing, resurgence, or demension.

Sory guys my post was incomplete
The arsenal that i am wanting is to bowl in the amf world cup.
The pattern is an easy 42 ft oil.
My agent and my rapid fire are polished with 2500 sandpaper.
And then i have a power grove dry/r and a track slash polished to bowl the lighter conditions.
I was looking that the dimension will be for heavy fresh oil,and then the option that i am looking for is for when the lanes are open up a little and my dimension will be too early.
Sory for my written english i am from argentina

The Noize is much stronger than an Avalanche Pearl and would fit right above the Agent and Rapid Fire.

I would say the Swing would be a better choice. That ball is sick. Plus I think you will have less roll out problems with the Swing vs the Resurgence (I do love the Resurgence tho). The Bite to me wasn't a good control ball, but that doesn't mean it won't be for you either.

You've got my vote on a Momentum Swing. But I heard the Storm Dimension is such a high performance ball, that you need to keep up with the surface of the ball. I had a team member bought one, and it started to loose it's backend reaction (that also happened to my RG Cell). But on flooded condition, I'd go with the Resurgence.
