Rico drilling on a Mass Equption
« on: May 14, 2013, 12:55:22 PM »
Has any one put a Rico drilling on a Mass Eruption with any success?

I just got one of these and am looking at different drillings that I don't have in my bag.

I am either going to Rico this ball or try the "Ryan Ciminelli" layout

I RICO'd a Violent Eruption.  Good core for that.  I keep mine with surface!

Do you throw it like Ryan Ciminelli?

Justrico,   I tend to come more around the side of the ball where Ryan is more up the back.  I am working on getting more up the back.  As far as speed and rev rate we are close

Every bowler comes around the ball...otherwise they'd throw a back up ball...

That's worded better (:
Are you left handed? And as previously asked, what is the alleged Ryan Ciminelli layout?

I'm lefty.    To my understanding as I have not physically seen any of his stuff with this layout,  is the pin is near his pap and the cg is back towards his grip. It sounds like a pin axis layout to me.   Any time his and my paths cross he is either throwing pin up stuff or I totally forget to ask him about it.

If you want a smoother reaction similar to a Rico type, one where the pin is between 1.5-2.25" from pap with a weight hole between 0-2.25" is very good especially for a left hander...the friction tends to be different than on the right side.

Thanks.   I will give it a try.   I did Rico a mass eruption and it shows potential but I need to throw it on something with dry.  The chameleon pattern in OH was not the right pattern.  Going to give it a try at port Jefferson in a couple weeks
