Rival--Anyone got/thrown this one yet?

Just wondering.  The core looks interesting to me and was wondering what success some may have had with it.

August 10th I believe....Ebonite/Columbia/Hammer/Track is taking a stand on releasing anything early...Every new release will have a release date and NO ONE with the exception of the PBA national staff will get the ball before that date...This includes all regional and amateur staffers...The idea of the move is to try to cut back on the balls being on the internet way before the pro shops have any access to them...I think its great being a pro shop operator..

August 10th - Rival and Resurgence
September 14th? I believe for the Wrath High Flush

Yes, and Wes Malott was throwing the Resurgence.

the rival being a very versatile ball, i would probably be able to build a 4-ball arsenal with 4 rivals.

I threw a Rival 'demo' ball for a few games today. Apparently, Columbia is getting seed test balls w/Switch Grips into select proshops. It's a good move for Columbia to get their new stuff in the hands of bowlers and build 'mindset' again. I know in my case, I wouldn't give them a second thought without some motivation.

Anyway, a very impressive piece of equipment. It revs up nice and smooth with good backend. I was surprised how aggressive it was given the shinny cover. My sense it that it will be versatile across most conditions except extremes.

I'm more of a Lane#1 guy, but this ball is the real deal. I'm tempted to pick one up when they become generally available in a few weeks.

Threw it in warmup and 3 frames of game trying to move inside, ball is a stronger gamebreaker just like i was told.

More backend than the gamebreaker and needs medium oil with a stronger drilling like mine with 4 1/2 pin to pap.
