Rival compared to an Infinite One?

I was told that both balls are comparable, is it true.

Just looking at the specs you can see that there is a big difference between the two... first off, the rival is an upper-mid performance ball, where the infinite one is a high performance product.  The rival has a symetrical core, where the infinite one has an asymetrical core.  So just by knowing those 2 things, you are in 2 different ball parks.  The only thing that they both have in common in the box finish, which is a smooth abralon finish.  I think if you have an infinite one, and are looking for a ball that will fit under it, the rival would be a great choice.

I agree here other then saying both have a smooth abralon finish. The Infinite has a 500 abralon finish. That is real low grit, when you look at the Rivals 4000 finish.

Sorry about the misinformation about the box finishes... i was just trying to say that they both have smooth finished surfaces, using abralon abrasive and no shine on the cover.
Also, there is a difference between high performance products and upper-mid performance products... if it wasn't the case then why would they sell different products at different price points.  Higher price points usually have lower RG and higher Diff, where as upper-mid might still have low RG but a little lower Diff...
Anyways, thats my take on things, like i said... i really think the Rival would be a great addition to your arsenal and it should fit nicely under your Infinite One.

I was just wondering, because I have the Infinite One now, but it won't last forever.. I will need to replace it by next season.

I don't think the two are in the same ballpark either for all of the reasons mentioned above.  The Infinite One is closer to the Resurgence than the Rival.
