Strongest Drilling for a
« on: February 10, 2008, 12:58:25 AM »
16# Columbia Momentum? I need a little length and a hard arcing motion to the pocket. I throw 14-16 mph and have a medium rev rate. All suggestions are welcome, Thanks everyone!

Pin should be over finger holes, especially with your speed, and cg in pal, or shifted slightly right.

5.5 " with the pin over the bridge and the CG in the palm.  Most length with sharpest backend motion.  Because the Momentum is a little lower RG, it'll read a little sooner and have a hard arc rather than a flip.

Is there a specific top weight and pin length I should know about? A hard arc is exactly what I am looking for. Right now the equipment I have has quit finishing ever since the oil seems to have become longer. (read> ringing tens and hitting like a marshmallow after repeated pocket hits)

Pin lenght would depend upon span, and desired location. I would think that a ball with a 3 to 3.5" or slightly longer pin, and a ball with top weight of 3.5 ounces to start, would be something worth considering.

Depends on what you want the ball to do.  If you want length and backend, probably a longer pin and more topweight.  Just the opposite if you want it to roll sooner.

Pin 4.5 and cg at 30 to 45 degrees will give you a little length and arcing motion to the pocket.
