Polishing EPX...

Has anyone polished an EPX T-1?

I'm looking at picking up 2 more. I really like the reaction of the EPX I have drilled. Cover is OOB, drilled 3-3/8 x 3-3/8. I am thinking of drilling a 2nd EPX with the same layout and putting a coat of Magic Shine on it.

The 3rd ball will remain undrilled, for the time being.

It's not a reactive resin ball.  So using conventional polish is not a very good idea..

However, I did take one of mine to 1500 grit sand and it was amazing.

I was wondering about that (using polish)...I don't use polish much on Reactives, I've been using Abralon pads, to a finer grit with great results. I use Magic Shine on Particles with good results.

1500 grit sounds like a good idea...What is the OOB grit (approx.) on the EPX?

Polishing an EPX will not hurt the ball by any means, it will diminish the ball's early roll and massive mid-lane, leaving only a hard arc on the backend.  You may find that the ball doesn't have enough on the backend once you've tried it polished, but it's a very condition specific ball to begin with, so if it works for a certain condition, go for it.

500 grit oob

I have no idea about polishing, i would email columbia about that. Why not try a slightly weaker drill and then 2000 grit abralon?

Shine the crap out of it if your going to anything. I took mine to 4000 with the aberline pads, than using a combination of Coulmbia polish and Finnesse It, this thing looks like glass, and the thing still hits like a truck gets down the lane a lot easier, and the stand up and go is amazing.
