This is what is being used on The Big Shot....the new ball coming out from C300.  Sanding Process: TCSâ„¢ (Texture Energy Control) 4000

What is it?  4000 abralon or????  Is the cover an oil absorbing cover like the Ebonite covers?

Anybody know?  JJBowl?

I know it is NOT an oil absorbing cover...but im not quite sure exactly what it is....if you watch the video with chris barnes on the website, he states it is a new finishing technique used at the factory

im sure JJ can elaborate tho...

From what I understand they are using the Abralon pads at the Columbia plant to achieve the TCS 4000 finish.

All reactive covers by all companies absorb oil to some extent. Ebonite has just gone through the trouble of measuring the absorbtion rate and using that number as an advertising tool to sell products.

During the Total NV seminar I attended Monday, they showed several different absorption rates for different bowling balls. I believe the Attack was about equivalent to a One.

Jon

That is a total lie
I went to the same Total NV Seminar and no one said that about the Action Attack in fact Ebonite didn't say anything about competitor oil absorption rates other than the highest they have found was 11.3 but they never said which company.  Though I asked and it is not Columbia its Brunswick

Why are you lying about this???

Maybe you weren't paying attention when they showed the graphs that compared the Total Inferno, Action Attack, Dynothane Threshold, Storm Special Agent and others....????

Maybe I got the numbers wrong, but they did show some graphs that compared several different balls.

I know what I saw. Maybe you didn't have the same seminar that I did.

You didn't pay attention that graph was about the Mass Bias values of competitor balls not oil absorption.  Has anyone else seen the Total NV seminar?  Can you help out poor Jon here?

Dude, calm down.  I don't know who's right or wrong, but it doesn't really matter.  If Jon made a mistake, it's not the end of the world.

Yeah it's not the end of the world. I apologize for not being as attentive and smart as some people apparently are....

Maybe I was falling asleep during the whole seminar...who knows? who cares?

Just another new ball that hooks, what else is new??

Apparently if you are mistaken about a ball it's considered lying....I guess you're only respected if you have 100% of your information right all the time and not if you have a complete profile, lots of fun and entertaining videos and some marginal success at every level of competition.

That's just my opinion though, I could be wrong....

As Jonny league bowler stated this is a new finishing process at the plant for our products.

We have implemented this system because this give our products a different look.  Currently our product line has a great amount of midlane read, with the new TCS 4000 and our new Optima cover we have built a reaction much different for Columbia 300.  Hope this helps.  Thanks.
