Can the past repeat itself?
« on: June 21, 2005, 06:30:26 PM »
The more I look back at which Columbia balls I really loved, the more I realized that they all had Ceramicores or Titanium nuggets in the center of the ball.  What do you think?  Would a stronger coverstock work great with a titanium or ceramic core?

I realize that the Wired and new Messenger had titanium cores, so I'm not talking Super-Flex or UFD, I'm talking M80 or the nex epoxy cover. How strong would that ball be? I think it would hit like a freaking truck. Might leave the occasional 9 pin. But a 9 pin is a much easier spare than a 10 pin....

Great point. I used to sneak my dad's Boss Titanium Tour Edition out of his bag while he was at work and throw a few with it. Boy that ball sure did hit real nice.

When the Power Torq came out, I picked up a used one in almost NIB shape. One of my favorite balls of all time. Very heavy rolling and that ball hit like a truck. Columbia, bring these balls back!

Surge core with an M80 cover? Now all we have to do is think of a name for it......

I vote for Columbia Spark or Columbia Catalyst....
