Swerve
« on: October 12, 2015, 02:26:26 PM »
Finally, C300 has came out with a ball that hooks on the lane and not in my back swing. I have struggled with high end balls due to my rev rate but this ball still gets through the fronts better than previous high end C300 balls and save plenty of energy. The new technoglogy in the coverstock definitely shows as this ball hits like a truck every time. I mainly use this ball for the first game of league or medium to heavy patterns. Best part is it shines up very well so I have one shiny, one out of box and they both roll great. Check this ball out, it is a must have.

not much fan fair as of late on this ball, why? is it the cost or just not all that? I see much more praise from the other brand's high end stuff then this piece.

I think cost and release timing. It came out around the same time as the Paradox and BW Red Legend Solid. Spend the same amount of money and get the Paradox that pretty much everyone seems to love or drop down to the Black Widow series thats a little cheaper and has a huge following. We all know bowlers are frugal to a degree outside of your major ball whores

I love the Swerve and I will get the Swerve FX
not so much of a fan of the BW line - although the new Dark Legend is a bit better IMO

this ball just flat out carries very well, it just drives through the pins
I have a 5" pin-pap layout which puts the pin in my middle finger
its got some midlane and sneaky strong, but arcing downlane

I can only imagine the motion if I had a strong pin-pap layout on it
very versatile cover stock so far, I've had it at 1000 and up to 4000 with great results
medium to medium strong piece and very under-rated IMO

I'm getting the Swerve next month (most likely on the 7th).
Along with Hammer Scandal.
Time has moved so slow this month. I'm so excited to get these 2 :P
Most used:
Motiv Venom Shock (14)
DV8 Grudge Hybrid (14)
Hammer Scandal (14)
DV8 Freakshow (14)

Sometimes.
C300 Swerve (14)
Motiv Jackal LE (14)

Retired:
Roto Grip Sinister (13)
Motiv Jackal (14)

Given to a no-thumber in the club:
Brunswick T-zone (13)

Might stick with Motiv from now on.

I got a chance to throw the Scandal at a demo days a few months ago.  What a monster of a ball.  Oddly enough, it gets down the lane for such a strong piece

just an update after a few weeks of owning this piece. the Swerve is clean in the heads and fairly smooth downlane, easy to keep in play with hand adjustments. and carries very well, high game so far is a 276. she's a keeper!
