Disruption cover
« on: September 05, 2013, 08:56:31 AM »
Anybody else having issue with this cover?
Just skates down the lane and seems like a dud on arrival

Haven't changed the cover yet, but not what i was expecting at all.
I know it says Powerhouse factory finish, but it seemed excessively clean down the lane on a burned up house shot.
was not burning up early what so ever.

Since I bowl mostly on high friction surfaces with lower oil volumes, it's unusual for me to hear people complain about a ball being "too clean."  ;D

I did something a little different with this ball:  OOB finish on 1.5 x 1.5 drilling.

Why I like this:  I will admit that this ball is rather conditional, but that was the point; I was filling a void in my tournament arsenal.  The OOB finish with the drilling gets the ball very clean through the heads, and allows the reaction to "lay off" once it sees friction.  This has been very good for me on short sport conditions, or extreme burn on wood.

I have had a few people come to me concerned with the ball not showing a big enough foot print down-lane, but a surface change (many times down to 1000) gives the perfect mid-lane roll.

I won this ball for the November give-away.  Thank you once again ballreviews.com.

I finally had it drilled this week.  After reading this thread, I didnt expect much out of it without a cover adjustment.  I am now very happy I keep it at the box finish.  The ball, on a medium condition house shot was amazing!   It is drilled pin up - 4,5,2.
