Anybody throw the regular trooper
« on: February 06, 2005, 11:47:00 AM »
Hello all, anybody own one of these balls? I am looking for a dry lane ball for my wife. Think urethane would work well for her but wanted to find some opinions of this ball as possible.

Thanks, cooksey

It would depend on how she throws the ball.  If she throws straight, as with a plastic/house ball then the Trooper will do great.  If she throws a hook ball she'll probably find this one will hook only slightly better than a plastic ball.  My guy at the pro shop said it may hook 5 more boards than plastic.  Of course I throw a pretty good hook and I'm wanting something slightly more aggressive than my plastic spare ball but something that doesn't really hook.

So I'm probably going to get a Trooper for that reason......little to no hook.

i threw one for 2 months, its like a scout reactive or tornade, same weight block. Its a pankake with an offset puck. Not what i was looking for, but it was ok, for dry its good but where do we ever find dry anyway?
