Spirit II ideas
« on: May 12, 2004, 12:08:15 AM »
Got this ball for a medium oil length overreactive shot.

Pearls and cg out drillings seem to be the ticket for me or medium polished solids.

I have read the reviews and it sounds like this ball is medium to lighter in potential both of flare and oil handling.

ANy ideas for drilling.  It seems midlane is really nice on this shot, backend not a lot needed and head clearance is nice too.

Any users of it give me your ideas.

Picked it up unthrown but drilled for $23!

To me it looks like the core should have some potential with diff of .38 but everyone is warning about weak move!  I was thinking moderately strong drilling with surface changes you recommended after testing.

Thanks bull!

I ended up surprisingly drilling this first ahead of my Eraser Particle pearl.

Ball was drilled according to Bull instructions.  Just a drill that seems to work for me a lot.  4 1/4 X 3 1/2 with a weighthole on PAP.

Ball fits in just where I thought it would.  Just about 1/2 of the way between my Sonic X pearl and my Ego.

It is in out of box surface ready for medium light up to medium at most.

Does have a little bit of controlled drive or flip.  Definetely in box goes away in carrydown.

League for whatever reason was quite wet with carrydown this week.

Ball I used was my Silver Streak solid.  Next to me the lefty with the best night used the Mayhem all night.  For a league where I had been using a Ego, control drilled sledgehammer or a sonic X pearl as my usual balls it was a wet night.

The Spirit II actually looked almost good except for the carrydown kept it from being able to grab and drive in the back as hard as it needed too!
Of course a lot of people had that problem last night!
Threw a couple of times in practice before carrydown and it had a nice medium snap arc look!

I actually think this ball looks like a real nice fit in the medium light slot!

I'll know more soon!

PS as far as fit here's where I am now.
Heaviest to lightest.  REaction Roll, Victory SPT or smoothed Fuze Detonator, Roto Silver Solid, Sledgehammer control, Ego glossy for flip, Spirit II, Sonic X pearl.
