Ball tested:  Vow at OOB, drilled pin above bridge with cg kicked out about 1 1/2 inches.  my PAP is 5 1/4 over and 1/2 inch up.

Lane Condition:  THS on old Lane Shield

Comments:  Tested the ball out last night at league and also threw it side by side with a polished Omen to see the difference in reaction.

What I saw from the Vow was a more pronounced reaction off of the dry compared to the Omen.  Ball went through the heads with ease and once downlane in the dry it made a big move.

The Omen even polished did not make the same move on the backend and was a smoother more midlane roll for me.

This ball will be a good ball for league players and tournament players alike.  Would definitely recommend this ball due to the good backend reaction.  I will post another review tomorrow as I am going to be bowling on a tournament shot and can see the reaction on a different condition.

Ball Tested : Vow

Pin up 5" from PAP. CG kicked right 1.5 inch
Ball Speed 18 mph, REV 375
Condition : Second shift house on beat up Pro Anvalane

Compare the a Violent Eruption drill the same, the ball read a foot sooner but has a sharper angle. Continuation was very strong. ( Even stronger than those gold balls from another manufacturer!)

Drilled my Vow Pin down on my center line with the CG kicked 3/4" to the right of my center line. This is my favorite layout and is the first one I put on a new ball. I threw this and the Mass Eruption on THS and must say this ball hits harder than a Mack truck. The Mass Eruption was about 5-7 boards stronger, but the Vow makes a sick motion to the pocket when it comes off the back of the pattern. I will be testing it on the USBC Masters pattern from last year in the morning and give an update on how it plays on that pattern.

Have you pre-ordered your Vow yet?  If not, what are you waiting on???

So its been about 5 days now since I drilled the Vow.Mine is drilled a simple pin up between the bridge nothing fancy.
All I can say is wow its unreal. Being a lower rev bowler its not hard for me to get a little flat with any ball and have it either roll out or not get the ten out. Its just the nature of my game. This ball has given me a look at the pocket that can be only described as fun! If I throw a good shoot it knocks ten down. If I get it a little far right it screams back and crushes this is where I would normally see a roll out.. But not at all with the Vow, it reads off the spot strong. Even a bad miss right has been kicking the 7pin out for me on the lighter hits.

It gives me the feel of the more I move left the harder it comes back to find the pocket. Its given me angle and carry that im thrilled with. I could probably type a book on this ball lol.
Clean,Angle,Carry, are 3 great words to describe this ball.

If you havnt already, ORDER this ball you will not be dissapointed.

Drilled up my second Vow with a pin below fingers located even with bridge, cg kicked about 1 1/2 out with a X hole in the thumb quadrant.

Lane condition was THS on Lane Shield - threw this ball and threw my first Vow and it is pretty much two different balls for me, the new one is very smooth and does not have a ton of backend reaction where as the first Vow goes very long and just snaps in the backend.  Now I know about pin placement, but never saw the same ball look this much different just with a pin up vs pin down placement.  This just proves why this ball was so popular among pro's while at WSOB, very versatile ball.  I will be trying different surface preps on them to see how much that changes the reactions also.  If you have any questions concerning the newer Columbia 300 equipment please feel free to message me on here and I will try to help you out.  Thanks again

Hi Greg. I love this comment about the gold ball.  I need a skid flip ball for light conditions.  I bought the original Eruption for this.  Drilled at pin right under fingers at 5" .;   Hate this ball.  It is so early and so flat downlane.   It really does not turn the corner well at all.  I have an IQ Tour Solid that does kind of OK.  But once it starts ringing 10's, forget it.

So the Vow is more flippy than the Violent?  Have you tried the 300A?
