During the winter I used a Bully, Hyde and Messenger Ti Pearl. I've also got an older red Pulse and Cuda C pearl. These covered nearly all the conditions I ran into. In most cases, the Hyde and a spare ball was all I needed. When I hit a little dry, the Ti Pearl (polished) would do the job. I do have an Ebonite Tornado for real dry, but I have almost no confidence in it.(May be the way its drilled--stacked leverage)
Anyway, I want to get a ball for these condiitons and am looking at the Panic or the Super Trooper. Which on of these is best on dry and would have an arc reaction rather than a skid snap? Looking for a ball that's very controlable.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmmm! For me the Panic is very even rolling and archy with a little bit of pop.
In general I cannot play real deep with it and carry. (Say third arrow maybe).
But in the 2nd to third arrow small swing shot on light mediums it is an awesome control piece!
I also have a Super Trooper. This ball with no flip blocks is not for dry in my book. It can really flip in the back. I have found that occassionally it works real nice when I want to play on a long shot with a small swing motion and it can really surprisingly flip to the hole. More than the panic.
Both drilled stacked next to ring.
For real dry I love balls like the Tornados, scout reactive and Dynamic groove that are different in teh panic and go very long before they flip like crazy to the hole!
I have found at one center that has a strong wet dry that I go with my Icon first, then my panic for a small swing on a dryer wet dry. And when it stops carrying I go outside with my Dynamic Groove and when right the carry is phenomenal!

PS for long with smaller flip a Sonic X is sweet.

I bought a Panic for the dry. Drilled 2" pin over bridge, CG straight below. Nice arc motion, but way too strong. Good on everything in the light-medium range. Goes WAYYYY too long on any decent amount of oil.

Super Trooper way too strong for dry. Also very sensitive to carry down,it will leave 10 pins all night.
