Does anyone throw the Hyde?
« on: October 03, 2004, 02:56:56 PM »

I'm having a problem with this ball.  Its drilled with the pin 4" from the pap and to the right and just below the ring finger. The surface is box condition.

I have tried it on oil and medium conditions.  On medium it tends to roll out.  On oil it works fairly well but does not have a very strong finish.  Compared to an old Brunswick Rhino Pro LE that I have its about 5-6 boards weaker.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Has anyone changed the surface and if so, did you get a better reaction?

Before I change the ball any, I sure would appreciate any help I could get.

I had a couple of these, and my experience with them was the same as my experience with my Vortex II's: polish made them godlike.  I definately recommend getting atleast a light polish on this ball.  For me, it allowed it to clear the heads but read the midlanes and backends with a nice hook/set reaction, as it was drilled to do.  Again, definately throw it polished before you dispose of it, and I wouldnt high gloss it off the bat, start low. Good luck.
