2 very different pieces IMO
the Urge being a hybrid cover with 2.50/.056 & Asymmetric core
longer and more angular
I don't usually like the higher diff numbers on asymmetric cores, but I have learned that the core numbers don't tell the whole story anymore.
I was surprised how predictable this ball was though, I'm used to these balls just standing up and going sideways, which this one didn't do
the Swerve FX being a pearl 2.47/.052 & Symmetric core
more midlane and arcing, predictable
I had 17 in a row at demo days with this piece on an easy THS
I really like my Swerve, so this was very interesting to me, great compliment to its solid coverstock brother.
Watching the vids with this new outer core technology really shows how this goes through the pins, which IMO, is good for the lower rev players, helps minimize or eliminate deflection through the pins.
the higher rev guys don't typically have many problems with deflection IMO
both are good though, it just depends on what you are looking for
I had a small sample of each piece, although at 2 different times
The Swerve FX I will get for sure as it fills a hole in my bag
The Urge and Raw Urge would be an overlap to others I already have
