KeglerX,
As far as I can see the differences between the Saturn and the Mercury are quite standard. Realize that some solid/pearl combos come with the solid polished; this one comes with the Saturn sanded to 800 dull/matte. So there's a larger and, in my opinion, more proper difference between them. I think they have the potential to make a great medium-light to medium+ oil combination or partners. (When the Saturn is kept "fresh" at 800 grit, it can handle a little mor ethan medium oil, for some bowlers, depending on rev rate/ball speed proportions.)
By "more proper", I'm implying that when the Saturn, when used stock is either too strong or too early, then the Mercury, when used with an idential or at least very similar drilling, can be used as a "goto" ball. And vice versa. In my opinion, when a solid is polished, the partner pearlized version is not a good "goto" ball. It will be too strong.
