Adding a pearl ball
« on: June 25, 2005, 03:18:21 AM »
I presently use a Bully, Hyde and Ti Pearl.  Would like to add something between the Hyde and Ti.  Would the Drive fit here or maybe the new U-Turn?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Unless you have very different drillings or surface preparations on the Hyde and the Ti Pearl, they should be, IN THEORY, a great 1-2 combination.

Maybe you should describe the drillings and changes to the surface prep, if you made any.

The Hyde has been redrilled with the pin 3" from the pap and to the right and below the ring finger.  The Ti Pearl is about 4" from the pap and also to the right but about even with the ring finger.

The Hyde works great on a medium to medium heavy condition.  Strong arc reaction.  On the other hand, the Ti Pearl does not have a very good finish when used on light to light medium, where I think it was designed for. I keep expecting a skid snap.

Since I have slower speed and low revs, maybe I should have this ball redrilled like the Hyde.  Any thoughts?
