Detour, Wicked Brt, Retro Pirahna, red Pulse
« on: August 22, 2004, 11:29:46 AM »
I think I've listed these in decreasing order from strongest and most angular to smoothest and weakest don't you?

Anyone want to try to compare all 4 or 3 of 4?

How much weaker is the Pirahna than the Detour?  How smooth compared to the Red Pulse?

Thoughts, analysis???

I can't really comment on the piranha compared to the others, but I love mine. I think it's actually stronger than most people thought, at least for me. I have thrown the red pulse, and I will say it is not as smooth as that ball, I would say it's stronger overall, smooth down the lane, but not as smooth as the pulse. In fact I have yet to find a ball even close to being as smooth. I have no clue how the piranha would compare to the detour.

I actually have two retro's, one is shined up, the other is factory finish actually awaiting to be drilled, not sure how I want to drill it up yet. I will say it's my go to ball. Hope that helps some.

Going farther on this theme Hardesty?

Where does the Hyde sit compared to Wicked BRT and Piranha.

I've seen it and I put Hyde a little stronger than Wicked BRT?

No?

REgards,

PS anyone have a NIB or lightly used Pirahna for sale?  15?

the pirhana, the wicked brt are two totally different fish. i haven't thrown the Detour( drab colors rather),

the wicked is a really great ball that goes long and finishes hard, the pirhana is very smooth but has a lot of backend and control when you play on wood. typically i found it has the tendancy to slide alot on some synthetics.

Comparing the pirhana vs pulse, pulse is still more smooth.

Also a little more on Hyde Wicked BRT if you will Mr. Hardesty!

Is Hyde as sharp as the Wicked BRT or more rounded at back for you?
Same drill?

Sums it all up.

If I read it right
Hyde = early smooth
Wicked BRT = leter pretty smooth
Detour = later very SNAPPY for a solid!

Right?
