Messenger Ti Low RG coverstock?
« on: June 27, 2005, 12:07:35 PM »
My question is, "Is it 100% pearlized or a combination of solid and pearl"?

Columbia says the cover "color" is "Purple/Red Pearl".

Anyone know if it is
a) purple pearl and red pearl
OR
b) purple solid and red pearl?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I've seen it in person and it looks pretty solid to me.

I messaged Columbia via their website and this is the exact answer I got from Chuck Gardner:

"the cover is Super Flex the colors are pearl. I appreciate your
input but it really makes little difference. The cover is very
adjustable you can sand or shine it more and it is versatile either way."

I'm guessing here, since the answer was not very precise, that, like the Track Rule, where one or more of the colors have the appearance of pearlization, the Low RG is a solid with pearl-like colors. So, as DP3 said, it appears to be a solid.

In my opinion the ball is a solid. It's phasing gives it a pearl type look throughout the ball but it's definitely a solid reactive coverstock.

There's your freakin answer.
