Detour surface
« on: October 25, 2004, 04:18:49 AM »
Just won a NIB Detour on ebay.  Planning on drilling it with some sort of label drilling to fit into my arsenal.

I was generally wondering what surface people have been using on their Detours.  Looks like 600 grit dull out of the box acc'd to the C300 website.  Curious what tweaks people have tried.

Thanks...

I got mine polished, because I felt that the ball was not getting enough length.  Now my ball goes too long.  Id say keep the box for now, and if it doesnt compliment the balls you currently have, then play around with the surface.

600 grit??? I think that C300 is mistaken, mine out of box looked like at least 800.  But anyways, I had mine label drilled MB in my track and it was wonderful, it gave me great length and a strong arc to the pocket.  Let us know how it fairs for you.
