Hi everyone...
I just went about changing all my bowling balls. I am a lefty hook ball bowler and was previously using 12lbs balls.
That was up till recently, when I started on a 14lb ball and then soon after upgraded to a 15lb ball weight after a few months.
Right now, my plastic ball which I use to throw spares is still 12lbs and I can feel the weight difference compared to my newer balls. As such, I intend to change my plastic ball to a heavier weight.
My question is (finally after my long story) : How heavy should my new plastic ball be? Some experienced bowlers tell me to take a 14lb ball while others say to take a 15lb ball.
Any suggestions/opinions are greatly appreciated.

it really depends on you. Personally, i always used a 14# spare ball, just to help get a little more ball speed. Most people will probaly say keep them the same weight. If it's only used for spares, I really dont see there being an issue if you get 14 or 15.

Ive been throwing 15 for a couple years now, but I bought a 14lb ball because it was cheap and awesome. You should have waited 2 weeks to write this haha.
I think, if you go lighter, you are ok. Ive always fiddled with throwing my old old 14lbs and it would work out nicely. MY timing was never distorted.
If i try throwing my 16lb equipment? forget it. My timing was destroyed.
