Wrath or Hyjinx
« on: January 12, 2007, 04:56:58 AM »
I'm looking for a ball to go under my Inferno and I was wondering if the Wrath or Hyjinx might be a good choice?  I am bowling mostly on an oily pattern with an out-of-bounds to the right of the the second arrow and a good amount of oil in the middle of the lane.  The Inferno works great for the first two games but is a little too strong for the third game or if there has been some play on the alleys before the league starts.

I have an older Messenger Ti Pearl (brown and black) but it has seen better days and I want to replace it with a ball that will work on these conditions. I would like to duplicate the skid/snap reaction of the Ti Pearl if possible.

I have slower speed (13-14 mph) and low revs.  My usual shot is down and in up the 10 or 11 board.

Any help would be appreciated.

Inferno vs HiJinx
In my opinion the HiJinx in box is STRONGER!

Very strong cover...weaker core...It seems to be ideal for oily small swing shots for righties on the inside....

IT also is great as demonstated by Brittany?? on the teen masters for tight smooth backend shots on oily conditions.

Fantastic ball...a friend of mine just won the Sr. High ROller Classic in Vegas with his!  (He calls it his secret weapon).

He also loves his Jinx(pearl version) which is a similar but with a unique coverstock for today's conditions as your TiMess pearl.

Maybe weaker core and more continuous coverstock.

Great link on Hijinx, Jinx, Wrath, and WrathXP

I hope this helps.

I know little about the Wrath as I have not seen them.

But the staff players I know with Columbia are in LOVE...with the Jinx set!

rEGards,

PS in my book Jinx would be below Inferno...and GREAT!

I have had both and am currently using a Wrath. The Wrath is stronger in the oil than the Hijinx. The higher rg diff in the Wrath will make it flare better which is a good thing in the oil. Mine is also drilled to give a skid/snap reaction. I don't think you would be disappointed with either ball, but the Wrath will handle more and move better in the oil.
