A friend of mine has been using this around here as his number 1 ball.

I saw him throw a low 7 in matches with friends with 5 opens.
Split game one, 11 strikes.  Game two one 7 pin and one split 10 strikes,
Game 3 one 7 pin, one split 10 strikes.

He said the night before he had a 750 in league, and the week before a 300 in league.

He definetely has some hand (medium) with moderate speed.

I have found myself also using my Dynamic Groove from Brunswick more often than I expected(though the Wild is more usable up light medium).

This looks like a great one on those lighter to lighter mediums where backend is desired!

I went over to bowling ball reviews and looked at core picture of barrage and they claim straight 3 piece!

If so I think one would have to be stronger handed to use that compared to the Wild.

I just bought one myself. Its a great ball for a medium/dry condition. When i first got the ball, i shot 3 games with it. I only shot 615. But at least I broke a 6 series. The ball its hard, kinda forgiving, and if drilled correctly, can have a nice backend.

Lefty, I know you are ignoring me now, but please put aside our disagrement for the time being and read this:

Please take a look at Dyno-Thane's website and BTM's reviews.
I am fairly certain they (DT) claim it is a 2-piece with a large central core, much like the Roto-Grip Sonic-X. The specs * appear * to indicate a plain 3-piece core, but while it has the top piece to offset finger and thumb hole drillings, it also has a large central core, and it is ordered and drilled as a 2-piece core ball.

Absolutely not ignoring you.
Maybe thinking of a more balanced response to one of your previous posts.
Sometimes I just take a while to respond.

But I have no one on ignore!

I really know nothing of the barrage only what I saw on other site.

I just noted that the design of these 3 piece with puck balls is different than any two piece.

PS I found my blue hot to be quite different from my Dynamic groove and to be quite different from the look I've seen from the Wild.

Just got a a 16 lb Blue Hot and yes, although its core design is not very far from a 3 piece pancake core, it is different and it responds very differently.
I drilled mine almost leverage, 4x4, with 1/2 oz side weight to try to induce a little more drive in the ball as it is so even in its reaction. I was lucky enough to get what for this ball is a huge pin out of almost 2.5". Tried it on a house shot and it moved pins better than average.

As far as the Barrage is concerned, look carefully at the core design on Dyno-Thane's own webpage. The huge bottom piece, below the obvious chuck at the top, is just slightly shaded, indicating a mass than is denser than the rest of the shell. I don't believe this is a plain pancke core.
