Alright well lets start with some background, im 20 years of age, and am currently using a Brunswick Red Alert Zone fingertipped ball. I like the ball but it's just time to get a new one. I'm just looking for a new ball that breaks late and is a good buy. I'm a poor college student so yea...i dont have much money to be throwing at a new ball. But anyways i've been looking at the wrath sf ball from columbia. I can find it at a very reasonable cost and i was wondering if the ball is worth getting or not.

What are the pros and cons of this ball, like what does it do well and what does it do poorly?

The ones I have seen in our area have a great look to them. It looks like a very good ball at a great price.

Great ball, gets through the heads real easy, and it has more pop than you would expect. I drilled mine with the pin under ring finger and cg kicked out. Ball loves late friction, hits hard and for the money is a lot more ball than some would think. I would totally recommend this ball and you won't be disappointed

ok out of curiosity what do you mean by pin under ring finger and cg kicked out can someone explain this to me?? And how do you determine these specifications for drilling a new ball?

find your pap and make the adjustments off of that, find a lay out that works best for your game. Weather it be a 2 inch pin, or a 3 inch pin, or what ever, it is going to be a trial and error event until you and your pro shop operator find out whats best for you. Take an old ball and plug and replug until you find something, then try this on a new ball.

Your pro shop operator knows your game a heck of a lot better than any of us, pick his/her brain, ask questions. And if you ever get a chance to go to a ball seminar, by all means go, there a lot of intelligent people working for these ball companies.

Well here is my old ball, a 15lb Brunswick Zone Red Alert Special Edition. I've had this ball for quite some time. I got this ball when i was like 12 to 14 i cant remember(i'm almost 21 now). So there's what i've been using. Should i stick with the same pin placement or what?

What you need to do is, take the old ball, have your pro shop person watch you throw some shots to map out your PAP. Then, tell them what you want the ball to do. That is all it should take to give them the idea of to layout the ball to give you exactly what you want. If you are looking for "late hook", you are going to want the pin 4 3/4 - 5 1/2 from your PAP and your PAP will determine whether to put the pin above or below your fingers. If you track low, place the pin below the fingers and if you track high, the pin above the ring finger or bridge will do perfectly.

One more thing. Since it has been 7 years since you got that ball, you may need to be refitted since you have probably grown a bit in that timeframe. Your span should have gotten longer unless the Red Alert had been plugged and redrilled for this very reason.

Ya i had it plugged and redrilled about a year ago and it fits well. But i'm not sure to which pro shop i should take my ball to, there are 2 of them in my town and i'm just in this town for college and i have no idea which proshop is better.

Go to both, talk to the pro shop operators, and than talk to other bowlers. Find out what people think about their drillers.
I totally agree with Steven Vance, since there are only 2 drillers in your area, you could do this with both of them, get to know your driller, he/she will be one of the biggest influences in your bowling career. You have to be comfortable, or you will always wonder if your getting everything you want out of a driller. Their experience is what you will be leaning on for your success
