Wrath XP?

I dont' see a whole lot of info on this ball yet.  For those that have it, how has it been working for you?  I needed something above my Doom, and got a great deal on this ball that I couldn't pass up.  Does it really work on heavy oil?  Does it NEED heavy oil to perform?  Is it a controllable arc, or more of a skid/snap motion?  I throw the ball around 15 mph with low-medium revs in the track area.  More specs are in my profile.  I'd also appreciate thoughts on a layout.  Thanks!

I didn't really care for mine, I had it layed out with the pin under the fingers, and the CG out to the right slightly.  It does have a very smooth controllable arc, and could be used definitely on a medium-heavy oil shot.  It's already gone, and sold, but I do have a couple friends that have one, and do like the reaction it gives them.  Just not a good match for me, good luck with it.

The XP is a very good ball on medium to the light-heavy condition shot.

The ball doesn't over-react in the mids and had a smooth, controllable arc.

I had this one drilled up, pin next to the ring, CG kicked out about 45.

Being a dull ball, you would expect this ball to roll early, but surprisingly it does get down the lane.

Pins are kept low on impact and haven' t experienced any strangle leaves or carries.

When polished, the ball will get a couple more feet in length with a sharper backend reaction, but far from a flip.

Overall, the XP is a release that has a place in my bag under the Action Max / Action.

So you would say this isn't necessarily a TRUE oiler, but more for the heavy side of medium or light heavy?  (That IS what I was looking for, as I RARELY see too much oil.    Besides, I can get my Doom to work in the oil if I slow the ball down to a snail's pace!)

I only picked up the Wrath XP because I got a great deal on a used one with one game on it.  If I could have gotten a Pain at the same price, or even more, I certainly would have taken it.  I planned on the Pain for my next purchase.  I may try to see if I can trade the Wrath or sell it to buy a Pain.

The Doom is drilled pin down, with the pin under and just to the right of center of ring, cg 1/2 inch to the right, no hole.  My PAP is 4 1/2 over and 1 up, my speed is about 15 at the pin deck, with low medium revs.  (No exact numbers on the rev rate as of yet.)  I would like the ball to be able to turn the corner from deep lines and be usable on heavier mediums to light heavy conditions.  Right now I use my Doom 98% of the time, but when playing deeper (3rd to 4th arrow out to about 10-15, this is about as deep as I get) with it I sometimes have trouble getting the corners out.  My preferred line is either straight down 10, or a small swing from about 17 to about 5-8.

Oh, I should add that I have had some success with Columbia in the past.  I used a Uturn Pearl for most of last season.  (Until it was trumped by the DOOM.)

This is also one of my favorite balls, especially to start with and read the lanes.  I drilled it 4 1/2 x 3 1/2(pin below ring). Threw it for a while out of the box and it was a little to up and early.  So I shined it and the scores are all over the place for me.  Reminds me of a blue ball we had a little while back, the Hyde.  This ball is very smooth rolling with continuous backend.  Needs a little bit of oil to get it through the fronts.  Plays very well for me on our house shot and the tournaments I have been to this summer.

Very good piece to have in your arsenal. Also a very good looking piece on our pro shop wall.  Selling very well.
