Yellow dot help
« on: February 19, 2016, 01:46:08 PM »
Picked this up at a thrift store for $5. Just need some help confirming its what I think it is.  Based on what I think to be true  it's an original 1975 first year yellow dot.  If anyone else can confirm that would be great.  Serial # is 5D39340 and the thing is nearly black in color now.

Probably an 85.   I don't recall what year they started adding urethane to Yellow Dot covers but it would have been 85 ot shortly after that.

The original looked a bit more like this one:

The legend was a remake but the color is close to the original.
